Accessibility Statement
The Hero Project is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone, including people with disabilities. We are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of our website and aim to make it as inclusive as possible.
Our Commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which are internationally recognised standards for web accessibility. These guidelines explain how to make digital content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.
What We’re Doing
To support accessibility, The Hero Project has taken the following steps:
-
Ensuring that images have alternative text where appropriate
-
Maintaining strong colour contrast across our content
-
Supporting full keyboard navigation
-
Using plain and clear English wherever possible
-
Avoiding the use of flashing or distracting content
-
Making our content structured with proper use of headings and semantic HTML
We regularly review our website and aim to fix any accessibility issues promptly.
Limitations
While we strive to make our site fully accessible, there may be some older content or third-party tools that do not yet fully meet accessibility standards. We are working to resolve these and are happy to provide alternative formats on request.
