Our Team
Paddy Crump is a mental health campaigner with lived experience of OCD and anxiety. He works closely with charities like MIND and YoungMinds to advocate for improved support services and meaningful policy reform. As part of the #EndTheWait campaign, Paddy has spoken with MPs across the political spectrum, written and delivered an open letter to Downing Street, and shared his story on national platforms including ITV’s Tonight and BBC News at Six.
He has also campaigned locally to improve local mental health services in his hometown.
Lee Godwin is a commercial leader, with over 20 years experience helping organisations to attract & equip their people to thrive.
Outside of work he advocates for removing as many barriers as possible when it comes to mental health, with a particular focus on young people, whether this be though his volunteering with Papyrus Suicide Prevention in Young Adults or his Advisory work with Ripple Suicide prevention. Supporting our young men from disadvantaged backgrounds to navigate obstacles & find their purpose is what excites him about the work we are doing here at The Hero Project.

Chloe Westley
Founder
Chloe Westley is an author, artist and former adviser to the UK Prime Minister. She co-founded Don’t Face It Alone, one of the UK’s largest anti-bullying campaigns, launched from Downing Street in 2021. While in Government, she helped shape youth mental health policy and led a mental health education project for primary schools. Chloe is the author of "The Angel of Dreams", a YA fantasy novel exploring mental health through the prism of the Hero's Journey.
Gabriel Paiva is a London-based music producer and SOAS Politics and History graduate with a deep commitment to social impact through the creative industries. With experience in running a non-profit music studio, Gabriel uses music as a tool for confidence, skill-building, and self-expression. Having been invited to Downing Street to give his opinions on higher education of the arts, he is driven by a vision to make the world fairer and more creative, empowering the next generation through mentorship, policy, and cultural change.
Kanyinsola Adeliyi is law student and aspiring barrister with experience in family and private client law. She combines a passion for justice with a strong commitment to community impact. As a Hero Project Ambassador, Kanyinsola champions youth mental health through creativity and storytelling, envisioning a future where it is prioritised, understood, and supported in every community.
Danny Bowman is a mental health campaigner, lecturer at Edge Hill University, and PhD candidate at the University of Liverpool, focusing on mental health policymaking. His advocacy is shaped by personal experiences with Body Dysmorphic Disorder and OCD. Danny has served as Director of Mental Health at a think-tank, and is the trustee of an eating disorders charity.
Tanya Marwaha is TEDx speaker and multi-award-winning advocate for mental health, disability, and EDI, specialising in cultural competency and intersectionality. She founded Championing Youth Minds, a global youth-led mental health initiative. Tanya has collaborated with Baton of Hope UK, the NHS, and major corporations, delivering impactful talks on suicide prevention, mental health, and inclusion.
